Tax Deductions Overview

It is rumored that the late Vince Lombardi would spend the first day of practice each season walking his team around the football field, talking about the dimensions and attributes of the field. He then would show them a football and talk about its shape, materials, and other attributes that distinguished the football. However basic, he wanted to engrain every fundamental of the sport into the minds of his players.

This video on tax deductions is the “holding up a football” version of a tax lesson. Basic, by design. There are some fundamental principles every PFG client needs to understand, including the following:

• Getting a tax deduction is like getting something on sale. You still pay for the item!
• The smart goal is NOT to rack up tax deductions, but to build wealth and become financially free.
